Biography

Dylan joined Hertz Farm Management in November 2019 as a farm manager and licensed real estate salesperson in the Mt. Vernon, IA office. He is pursuing his Accredited Farm Manager designation with the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.

He grew up on a row crop farm north of Wheatland, Iowa in western Clinton County. After graduating from the University of Iowa with his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, he joined a Fortune 500 company’s Leadership Development Program. During that time, he honed his problem solving and project management skills. Dylan later joined the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship as an engineer where he worked to reclaim abandoned coal mines in southeast Iowa and implemented water quality and soil conservation practices. Prior to his joining us, he managed farms and surveying operations for a large limestone, sand, and gravel producer in eastern Iowa.

Dylan is a licensed drone pilot and is passionate about using his abilities to best serve his clients needs. He and his wife welcomed their first child in July 2019.
