Cal has been involved in serving the agricultural business community since graduating from Iowa State University in 1978. He was a sales manager from 1978 through 1986 for Talbot Carlson Inc., a livestock feed and equipment manufacturer.

Cal owned and operated Emmert Manufacturing (a division of Talbot Carlson Inc.) from 1986 to 1994. He joined Hertz Farm Management in 1994 and has excelled at selling, acquiring and appraising farms and acreages for clients.

He is married and has two children.

Kyle joined Hertz Farm Management in July of 2018 as a farm manager and real estate salesperson in Mount Vernon, Iowa. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Iowa, a Certified Crop Advisor, and a licensed drone pilot. He has earned his Accredited Farm Manager designation with the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.

Kyle was raised on his family’s farm in northeast Iowa that included working with hogs and growing corn and soybeans.  This is where he first learned of his desire to continue his career in agriculture. Kyle graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy and Agricultural Systems Technology in May 2015.

Prior to joining Hertz, he worked for Three Rivers FS as an Agronomy Sales Specialist for 3 years.

Kyle is married to his wife, Chloe, and they have two children, Parmalee and Leo. They continue to reside in the same area where they grew up and enjoy helping on their family farms. In their free time they enjoy being outside on the farm, hanging out with family, traveling, and going to baseball games.

Craig joined Hertz Farm Management in June 2018 as a farm manager and licensed real estate salesperson in the Nevada, IA office. In this role, Craig manages, sells, and acquires properties for landowner clients across central Iowa.

Craig graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Agricultural Business and minors in Agronomy and Ag Systems Technology in May 2018. During his time at Iowa State, Craig served in several leadership roles for the Agricultural Business Club on campus and participated in a study abroad course in Panama.

A summer internship with Hertz in 2017 developed his enthusiasm for serving landowners and their farms. Craig enhanced that devotion to his clients by earning the Accredited Farm Manager designation in 2022 as a member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, the top professional accreditation in the industry.

Through involvement in his family’s diversified crop and livestock farm near Monticello, IA, Craig established a deep-rooted passion for agriculture. Seeing conservation practices in action on the family farm sparked his interest in land stewardship. Craig continues to engage in this area by serving as co-chair of the Hertz Stewardship Committee and by helping clients put conservation to work on their farms.

Craig currently resides in Nevada, IA with his wife, Mandi, and their two young children, Collins and Grayson. He is a member of the Nevada Rotary Club and St. Thomas Aquinas Church.

In September 2018 Isaac joined Hertz Appraisal Services and earned his Certification in 2022. Isaac graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2006 with a degree in Marketing. After college, Isaac spent nearly 10 years in marketing and product management with O’Rourke Sales Co., a nationwide wholesale appliance & electronics distributor in Davenport, IA.

Isaac grew up on an acreage in Northeast Iowa near Arlington. Currently Isaac, his wife Kelley, and sons Elijah and Wesley, live in Altoona, Iowa. Isaac is a Member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.
