Eythan Blair,
Farm Manager

Eythan joined Hertz Farm Management in December 2024 in the Mason City, IA office as a professional farm manager. He graduated from Luther College in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in business management. While at Luther, he was a member of the football team and was voted captain for the 2020-2021 season.
Eythan grew up working for a local grain and livestock farmer in northern Kossuth County. Eythan and his wife, Anna, call rural Kensett, IA, home. They own and operate a small cattle operation alongside Anna’s parents. Prior to joining Hertz, Eythan managed the chemical building in Northwood, IA, for Nexus Cooperative.
Eythan believes community involvement is critical to community success. He proves this by being a board member for the Worth County Fair and Worth County Cattlemen. He is also a member of Worth County Farm Bureau and a volunteer high school football coach.
Maddie Orewiler,
Appraisal Trainee

Maddie joined Hertz Farm Management in January 2025 as an appraisal trainee in the Mount Vernon, Iowa office.
Maddie graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business and a minor in Animal Science in December 2024. During her time at Iowa State, she assumed various leadership roles within the Agricultural Business Club and Block and Bridle Club. She also participated in a study abroad course in the United Arab Emirates.
Maddie developed a profound passion for agriculture at a young age pursuing any opportunity that arose. Her professional journey includes industry exposure gained through a multitude of internships in agronomy, cattle, swine, policy, and, most recently, farm management with Hertz Farm Management.
Maddie currently resides in Clarence, Iowa.
Jerson Kopka,
Appraisal Trainee

Jerson joined Hertz Farm Management in June 2025 as an Appraisal Trainee in the Mankato, Minnesota Office.
Jerson graduated from South Dakota State University in the spring of 2025 with a degree in Agricultural Business and a minor in Rural Real Estate and Land Valuation. During his time at SDSU, he served as President of the Block and Bridle Club and was actively involved in Collegiate Farm Bureau, Little International, and Agriculture Future of America. Jerson further developed his interest in Appraisal as an Evaluation Services Intern with American AgCredit in Turlock, CA.
Jerson’s passion for agriculture was shaped by his upbringing on his family’s crop farm and his early involvement in the livestock industry. He grew up exhibiting market lambs across the country, competing at both state and national levels. Over the years, he has worked for several respected livestock breeders throughout the Midwest, gaining valuable experience in livestock management, sales, and small-ruminant reproduction.
Jenna Blessing,
Appraisal Trainee

Jenna joined Hertz Farm Management in June of 2025 as an appraisal trainee in the Geneseo, Il office.
Raised on her family’s century row crop and cattle farm in northeast Missouri. Jenna also grew up competitively showing registered ABGA Boer goats. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Agriculture, a minor in International Agricultural Business, and a certification in Sales and Customer Development.
Throughout college, Jenna worked at the Mizzou Meat Lab, where she gained hands-on experience in meat processing, customer service, and business operations. She was also actively involved in collegiate meat judging and livestock judging teams.
Chance Lambrecht,
Farm Manager

Chance joined Hertz Farm Management in August 2025 as a farm manager in the Norfolk, Nebraska office. He was raised on an acreage in Northeast Nebraska where they had a small livestock herd. This is where he cultivated his passion for agriculture. This passion eventually grew to where he obtained his agricultural degrees.
In his professional career, he has worked as an agronomist, a college instructor of precision agriculture, and most recently as a precision ag equipment manager. He currently sits on an Ag Advisory Board for Northeast Community College.
Chance and his wife, Morgan, reside in Humphrey, with their two children. They enjoy their small-town life in which the rural community thrives with a strong agricultural presence. In their spare time, Chance and the family are avid recreationalists. They enjoy outdoor sports such as hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and snowmobiling.
David Michaelis,
Farm Manager

David Michaelis joined Hertz Farm Management in August 2025 as a Farm Manager and Real Estate Salesperson at the company’s office in Omaha, NE. He grew up on a grain and livestock family farm 15 miles west of West Point, NE.
Before joining Hertz, David has managed grain and agronomy facilities for Aurora and Heartland coop over the past 17 years. His passion for Agriculture has grown over the years from helping his dad farm to managing various facilities in Nebraska and Iowa since graduating from college.
David is a member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.
David and his wife, Jennifer, live in Omaha with their three children, Connor, Addyson, and Wyatt. He enjoys attending their sporting events and coaches’ baseball for his youngest Wyatt. David loves spending time with his family and friends. David and his family own Redline Athletics in southwest Omaha which is a speed, agility, and strength training facility for young athletes 8-18 years old.
