Operations Analyst

The Operations Analyst is responsible for helping the organization improve its processes, services, and software through research, training, and documentation. They act as a liaison between system users and the systems support team of the organization, communicating process improvements and standards as well as receiving feedback from the other organizational units on how systems and processes can be improved to accomplish the needs and objectives of the business.

Specific Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with end users to thoroughly understand the needs that systems and process improvements can fulfill and improve.
  • Determine and analyze how changes to processes will impact the Organization, including discerning when standardization in processes needs to happen versus when flexibility is necessary.
  • Onboard new employees on organizational processes and procedures. Oversee, recognize, and create additional development opportunities for existing employees such as providing mentoring and other training sessions regularly.
  • Oversee and train end users on processes and systems to maximize their effectiveness and utilization through in-person training, electronic communication, and documentation.
  • Provide recommendations regarding the evolution of systems and processes.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide solutions and direction to end users in a manner that reinforces a Trusted Advisor relationship. 
  • Establish plans and timeframes for relevant System Support projects and execute their implementation. 
  • Produce reports and timelines to communicate expectations and progress for projects to the Director of Systems Support, other System Support team members, and end users. 
  • Maintain and ensure proper documentation and perform testing of system modifications to ensure their effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Systems Support to ensure the needs of the end users have been met.
  • Research and analyze the nature, effect, and results of system difficulties so solutions can be identified.
  • Satisfy data sampling, project analysis, testing verification, and other user requests from existing databases.
  • Act as an advocate for end users, by identifying and helping resolve issues related to process and system structures to make their work more effective and efficient.
  • Maintains current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices through industry and other professional networks. 

 

Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software programs.
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to change as well as encourage others toward change.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and creatively solve new problems.
  • Ability to negotiate and settle differences rapidly and peacefully.
  • Ability to act as a team player.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field preferred.
  • At least five to seven years of related experience preferred.

 

Travel Requirements

This position is required to regularly travel to various organizational office locations in order to provide in-person onboarding, training, and mentoring functions.
