Ed has been involved with farm management, real estate appraisal, real estate sales and agricultural consulting since 1975. He was raised on a farm in Keswick, IA, and is a farm owner in Henry County, IL.
A past president of the Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, he has also served as a member of the Education Committee and as the Report Writing Seminar chairman for the American Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. He is a member of the Illinois Chapter of the Realtors Land Institute.
In 2011, Ed received the Professional Farm Manager of the Year award from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.
Ed has served as president, treasurer and director of the Geneseo Jaycees, and is a past member of the Illinois and U.S. Jaycees. He is a member of the Geneseo Kiwanis Club, the Illinois Farm Bureau and the Geneseo First Congregational Church. Ed and his wife Barbara live in Geneseo and have a son and a daughter.
