      Since Jeff has been with Hertz Farm Management, he has had many achievements. Jeff has appraised, managed, sold, and acquired rural properties for clients since 1986. Jeff worked out of the Mt. Vernon office from 1986 until moving to Waterloo in 1990 to become the office manager. He moved into the role of President of Hertz Farm Management in 2016.

      Jeff belongs to several organizations, including: American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA), Farm Managers Advisory Board, and Waterloo and Cedar Falls Chambers of Commerce. In the past, Jeff has been the Chairman of the Awards and Scholarships Committee and the FFA Contest and Awards Committee for the Iowa Chapter of the ASFMRA. In 2000, Jeff received the Land Stewardship Award from the Iowa Chapter ASFMRA for his soil conservation efforts, and in 2009 received the National Farm Manager of the Year award.

      Jeff grew up working on a grain and livestock farm in Northeast Iowa. From there he went on to become an animal caretaker on the Iowa State University Beef Training Farm from 1983-1986 while attending ISU. In 1984, Jeff was a research intern for Asgrow Seed Company.       Brian joined Hertz Farm Management in November 2012, working out of the company's Monticello, IL, office. He graduated from Illinois State University in 2000 and spent the prior 10 years working as a Trust Officer and Farm Manager for a bank in Farmer City, IL. His banking and trust experience will be a valuable asset to his clients.

      Brian grew up in central Illinois on his family's grain farm, located near Maroa, IL.  Brian lives in rural DeWitt county just outside Clinton with his wife, Kristie, and son, Owen.

      Biography

      Chad became involved with Hertz Farm Management while in college through an internship during the summer of 2000. He officially joined the Geneseo office in January 2001. He serves as a professional farm manager for his clients along with evaluating and marketing agricultural real estate as a licensed real estate broker in Illinois.

      Chad is a member of the Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, as well as the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. He is also a member of the Illinois Farm and Land Chapter of the REALTORS Land Institute.

      Chad grew up on a farm in northwest Iowa, near Wall Lake. Along with his brother, he operated a grain and livestock operation while in high school and college. He and his wife Kate live near Geneseo and have four children.

      Clint joined Hertz Farm Management in January 2015 as a farm manager and licensed real estate salesperson. Since being with Hertz, he has obtained his Farm Management Accreditation and his FAA Part 107 Drone License. Clint graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S in Agriculture Business. During his tenure at ISU, he was active in several agriculture organizations. Involvement in these organizations helped him share his deep-rooted excitement for agriculture with a variety of other young professionals. 

      Raised in Southeast Iowa in a small farming community, Clint quickly developed a great passion and knowledge for agriculture. He now resides in Cedar Falls, IA where he brings a great deal of energy and enthusiasm to Hertz and the clients he serves. If there was one word used to describe Clint, this word would be energy.       Marv's experience with machinery auctions allows him to do Chattel Appraisals, which include estimating the market value for machinery, livestock, grain and other agricultural assets. He has successfully conducted many auctions of agricultural farmland parcels and personal property.

      Before joining Hertz Farm Management, Marv farmed in the Collins-Maxwell area for many years.
